The Soulful Woman Retreats and SoulSpas
The Soulful Woman is a collaboration between Shushann Movsessian MA and Gemma Summers PhD. Our vision is to explore and nourish women’s sacred inner life and self-care. We provide workshops and retreats designed to replenish a woman’s body, mind and spirit, and to create a greater balance in the cycle of giving and receiving. 1. **Essence of Lakshmi 2012** Women’s Spiritual and Regenerative Retreat in Bali
Date: 27th April – 3rd May 2012
When: 6 night retreat, starting 4.00pm Friday, 23rd April and ending 11.30am Thursday, 3 May 2012
Where: Honeymoon Guesthouse, Ubud, Bali

2. March 3 2012 Program – Meditation for Mum’s and Teen Daughters **NEW**
- no previous meditation experience necessary.
When: Weekly meetings x 4 Weeks. Wednesdays 7.00-9.00pm
Where: Coogee
Why a Meditation Session for Mums and their Teen Daughters?
Teens often feel disconnected, stressed and overwhelmed unfocused and angry.
Mums can be the target of anger and moodiness from their daughters. This can be equally frustrating and exhausting and can trigger our own teen history.
Our meditation session will:
- Offer mums and daughters practical tools for reducing stress and boosting the immune system.
- Help reduce performance anxiety in teens and create a greater sense of ease and well-being
- It will promote compassion – for self and others (hopefully you!)
- Strengthen mental focus, emotional stability and coping skills
- Enhance the mother/daughter heart bond.
The mother/daughter session involves: heart nourishing meditations, yoga breathing and Chi Gong energy exercises for vitality and focus. Visualisations for positive self esteem, empowerment and inner guidance.
Optional Extra: 2 x weekly follow up sessions to reinforce learning, share personal experiences in meditation, answer questions on any difficulties experienced in practice.

Women’s feedback about my meditation programs:
I had severe anxiety/post natal depression after the birth of my 2nd bub, and whilst medication was necessary, as well as counseling, the meditation course with Shushann was the turning point for me! It enabled me to experience such wonderful relaxation, I felt rejuvenated and re-energised after each session, and more in tune with myself as a mother and as a woman. The meditation sessions with Shushann and the other ladies were my weekly “retreat”. I looked forward to them and really miss them now that they have finished. It was a really comfortable environment to share in and discuss what answers you were finding from the meditations. I am very grateful that I was referred to Shushann’s meditation program for women by a family member. Having done quite a few mindful meditation sessions in the past I loved the focus on women’s health and state of mind throughout Shushann’s sessions. There was a wonderful balance of facilitated meditations where Shushann led us with her expertise and soothing voice and also room for our own experience in silence. It was a wonderful opportunity for women to gather and acknowledge what is present in our lives and open ourselves up to new experiences. Whether you a beginner or experienced at meditation or are just looking for some time to yourself out of the everyday grind I would highly recommend Shusann’s meditation programs, it was a real treat!
